The boys went up north the last few days to see family. I stayed behind because I know I have to get used to "the boy" spending guy time with his Daddy. I will get to see my baby in about 5 hours, but who's counting. With the whole house to myself for the first time ever, I decided to leave! LOL. I have wanted to "escape" on a Saturday morning and go to a coffee shop for the LONGEST time. So here I sit at the B&N nearest me drinking my Starbucks and eating an amazing blueberry muffin! I have been thinking to myself, "How is this different than sitting at home having coffee while the boys are out?" I'm still trying to ponder this but I think it comes down to a few things.....
1. There is ambient noise here to keep me awake. I fall asleep at my computer so much at home.
2. I am able to multi-task better. I am people watching and eavesdropping on strangers conversations! Don't get me wrong, I am not including myself in the conversations but I do giggle to myself ever so often.
3. I don't have to clean the kitchen when I am done here. I really despise cleaning the kitchen.
There is this group of kids doing homework together. I must be old because I can't figure out if they are in college or high school. I'm leaning towards freshman in college because they are doing homework at 10:00 AM on a Saturday. Not too early but they will still have the rest of the day to get things done. On the other hand, I don't know of many college kids who would be up this early.
Muffin and coffee are almost done. What should I do next? I could walk the store. That's somewhat pointless for me since I mostly read e books now, AND I don't want to want anything. I'm ok to be in this store now because I don't know of anything in particular that I want/need. Otherwise it would be a different story!
It's relatively warm today, well it's above freezing, 34 and it was supposed to rain all day today. I think I should take the fact that the rain has not started yet as an omen to get my photobooty out the door and shoot something!!!
